Introduction A hunter is a highly skilled long range weapon user. These are mainly guns and bows. First I will tell you about the ups and downs that you encounter playing as a hunter. Because you fight from long range your damage intake is reduced. Because of the great mail armour you can use at level 40 your armour gives an enormous boost on damage reduction. This will help save money on repairs and save up for better equipment. Hunter traps Traps are great extra! Your enemies canÂ’t see them until itÂ’s already too late. Unless your enemy is really cunning they wonÂ’t see your trap. You have four different traps to choose from. This can help you find the best way to trap your enemy. Lack of melee Sadly, your melee isnÂ’t that good so if you find your enemy gets between 8-5 yards get out a dagger or axe, your bow wont help in combat. You may dual-wield weapons at level 20 instead of 2h weapons. I havenÂ’t much on this topic but please inform me of any info and I shall add it when I get the info. The skill: feign death This is a skill which will help you get out of tricky spots and be able to skip dying. When you drop you exit the combat and the mob or enemy will run back to where they came from. But in PVP, this is a different storyÂ…; They will still see you after doing feign and are able to attack, but then again people are easily fooled and you could be lucky, that they think your dead. Choosing your hunterÂ’s race This is the important bit. You could think your good but if your race isnÂ’t picked carefully enough your character could easily be killed time after time. HereÂ’s the different race. Dwarf Strength 22 health 86 Agility 19 Mana 84 Stamina 24 Intellect 19 Spirit 20 Races skills and traits +10 resistances to cold +5 gun skill Treasure tracker Racial skill Stone form Activate to remove all blood, disease and poison effects and makes you immune to them for 8 seconds with a 10% armour bonus too. 3 minutes cool down needed. Night elf Strength 17 health 46 Agility 28 Mana 85 Stamina 20 Intellect 20 Spirit 21 Races skills and traits +10 resistances to nature +1% to dodge Wisp death form (an extra 25% faster movement to normal spirits) Racial skill Shadow meld: Stealth when not moving 10 seconds cool down Troll Strength 21 health 66 Agility 25 Mana 81 Stamina 22 Intellect 16 Spirit 22 Races skills and traits +5% damage to all beasts +5 to throwing skill 10% hp regeneration, 10% active in combat +5 to bow skill Racial skill Berserking: Increases attack speed minimum 10% to maximum 30%. At full hp the speed will increase by 10%. If you are badly injured berserker goes up to 30% lasts 10 seconds. 3 minute cool down Orc Strength 23 health 76 Agility 20 Mana 82 Stamina 23 Intellect 17 Spirit 24 Races skills and traits +5 to axe skill +5% to pet damage 25% resistance to knockout or stun effects Racial skill Blood fury: Melee attack power increases by 25% for 15 seconds and stops 50% of healing effects on you for 25 seconds. 2 minute count down. Tauren Strength 25 health 76 Agility 18 Mana 80 Stamina 23 Intellect 15 Spirit 23 Races skills and traits +15 herbalism skill +5% hp +10 resistances to nature Racial skill War stomp: Stuns 5 opponents while in an 8 yard circle for 2 seconds. 2 minute cool down. You decide YouÂ’ll either join the alliance giving you the opportunity of dwarf and night elf. But if you choose the horde you will get to choose from Orc, trolls and Tauren. Here some quick info just so you can know what happens before you pick youÂ’re character. Dwarf The dwarfs all start off at dun morogh with a simple gun and axe which gives you +5 to gun skill being handy that youÂ’ll use a gun mostly in this area. As I have told you on the other parts of my guide the dwarfs start with a treasure tracker. There is no need in using it since there are other trackers youÂ’ll be using. If youÂ’re going to do leatherwork and skinning then you have picked a good choice. Dun morogh and its surroundings have lots of animals to skin let alone quite a lot of herbs for herbloreÂ’s. Night elf You will start off in a place called Teldrassil starting off with bow and dagger. The night elf may have the fewest hit points and lowest strength but look at there agility and intellect, its pretty good. The herbs are more easy to get than the dwarf places but if youÂ’re a skinner of leatherworker you wonÂ’t find a lot of things to skin apart from an odd cat. Orc Orcs start in durotar with a descent axe and bow. I would recommend doing beast mastery trait with an Orc hunter. Trolls Trolls start off in the same place as Orcs, durator. They have an axe and bow. Trolls have a great agility and bow bonus that give them the edge over an orc. Tauren The great tauren, start off in the plains of mulgore with an axe and a gun. These guys are fearless and are very good because if they are put into combat they have a better chance than a night elf. To make it even better they have the stomp ability that could one day get you an edge over a battle. With there natural increase in health they are build for survival.
