I have a lvl 50 alt I just pushed through to 375 enchanting and 375
alchemy to support my main (extremely pot and gear dependent Warrior -
sigh) and have found the following shortcuts:
Enchanting
at 225 you need to go into Uldaman to learn Artisan. Bliz won't let
anyone under lvl 58 to go through the portal in the Blasted Lands but
you can buy a portal to Shatrah. I tried it with a lvl 10 character too
to test the theory and you can still do it. No restrictions...perhaps
this is a bug?
Once in Shatrah go to the Scryers area upstairs in the library and
all level trainers are there from level 1 skill to 375. No need to do
Uldaman.
Also a very low cost but reasonably long time way of skilling up in one of the most expensive skills is to:
Get your banker to search what components you need for the next
series of skill ups ( get a professions skill up guide from Tault to
get an idea of which are the cheapest recipes to skill up on or post me
and i'll copy and paste my list. I won't C & P here otherwise I'll
get a new one torn).
Check out the cost per single reagent item and then check the 10 and 20
stacks. In most items the stack of 20 is 10-25% cheaper than buying
singly. Whatever the cost savings difference EXTRACT that many regeants
and send to your toon that needs to level up and then relist the
remainder either singly or in 2 stacks e.g.
Greater Something Essence
1 = 2g
20 = 30g
This means that you'll be paying 25% less by buying a 20 stack.
Instead of immediately making a profit by re-listing singly. Take 25%
of the reagents out of the stack (5 Greater Something Essences) and
send to the toon that's skilling up to use. Then relist the remainder
15 Essences singly.
This way you get 100% of your money back when they sell (and they
always eventually sell) and you get "free" reagents to skill up.
Note this does take time but I skilled up paying only for the training and the occasional enchanting rod items.
