Hate your current name? There has been interest on this subject in the past, so I thought I would share with you my experience this week.

If you have a character that is eligible for a paid transfer to another realm, you can move them to another realm and change their name at the same time. All you need to do is create a character on the destination realm with your current character's name and after you move your character and log in for the first time it will ask you to change your name.

I only tried this using a separate account to create the duplicate name, so I can't verify if this works using your own account to create the duplicate name. If you only have one account you can ask a buddy to create the duplicate name for you.

Maybe not a trick or an exploit, but a VERY nice to have for some of us.
