Some of this is good, some bad....most of it is already on the sited in some shape or form..............SO..........pick thru it and enjoy!
150 GOLD PER HOUR:
You do need mobius and a working knowledge of it.
1. MOBIUS 2. How to reset instance- leave instance, group invite from your friend/extra account/ whatever, accept, leave group, return to instance -RESET 3. Mobius coordinates we use (if ya dont know, dont ask. Ya shouldnt hack if ya cant figure this out) <location> <name>outside Scholomance</name> <x>-2552.398</x> <y>1275.896</y> <z>89.45779</z> </location> <location> <name>loot this chest</name> <x>100.8887</x> <y>166.0359</y> <z>104.7426</z> </location> <location> <name>Scholomance exit</name> <x>126.329</x> <y>190.819</y> <z>137.227</z> </location>
see where this is going.....
*note* must be in eastern kingdom to port to scholo entrance, its behind the locked door.
this can be done with a level 1 if you so choose.. up to you. Totaly safe. 1. port to scholo entrance 2. go into instance 3. port to the chest 4. loot the chest (this is totally safe, no mobs... chest contains two uncommon loot items ALWAYS- level 54-58 I belive. BOE items can sell on AH or just go to vendor 60s-2g each) 5. port to exit 6. leave instance 7. reset the instance with your friend, zone back in. 8. rinse and repeat 9. fill bags and get rich to your hearts content.
All this takes no longer than maybe 20-30 seconds each time. at just 1g a pop thats 120g an hour at the least.. I say you can average closer to 200g easily once you get into the groove.
ENJOY!!
8-9 GOLD PER HOUR:
Stranglekelp sells on the AH at 4 to 4.5 g for a stack of 20, and it sells FAST! The reason for this is that it's used in a ton of potions that people use to level their alchemy skills. For some reason, there is a perception that it is difficult to find and collect, but I've been collecting it on a daily basis in huge quanitites with relative ease.
All you need to do is go to Zoram Strand in Ashenvale (west side of Ashenvale) and swim out into the ocean a little. Start from Zoram Strand in the south and swim north, collecting Stranglekelp as you swim. See the map below: http://www.thottbot.com/?m=10316
Stranglekelp is all over the place, it respawns quickly, and it usually drops 2-3 herbs per plant. Once you reach the island to the north (at the north edge of Ashenvale), swim around it, and head back south again. By the time you reach the north side of Ashenvale, most of the Stranglekelp has respawned and is ready to be picked again. I run this loop over and over again and I collect at least 2 full stacks of 20 Stranglekelp in an hour.
The best part about this method is that all of the mobs here are pretty low level (18-21) and the mobs are all far apart (you won't get multiple aggros), so this is a great strategy for anyone lvl 18 and up. Stranglekelp only requires an herbalism skill of 85 too.
Once you collect the herbs, sell each stack on the AH for 4 to 4.5g and believe me, it will sell. This is EASY MONEY.
Enjoy!
UNLIMTED MONEY AS AN ENGINEER:
Ok this guide is for Engineers so for anyone else im sorry.
Ok this has a little bit of a gamble in it..but odds are in your favor.
First u need to be able to make Heavy Dynomite. For HD you need
2 Heavy Blasting Powder or 2 Heavy Stones
1 Wool Cloth
So if u buy 20 Heavy Stone at 70s and a stack of wool for 20s that is 90s spent with possibility to yeild somewhere around 3.0g
usually you will make around 1.9-2.3 so that is like double
Enjoy!
9 GOLD EVERY 15 MINUTES:
The simple formula is Icy Cloak -> disenchant to Large Glowing Shard.
Icy Cloak http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5035
The recipe for this is sold by the trade goods merchant in Southshore for the alliance, I do not know for the horde.
My costs were simple.
Frost Oil - 1 per 1gp - 1.3gp Mageweave - 20 stack for 80 - 90sp Thick Spider Silk - 2 for 80 sp Thread - 4.25sp each
So, approximate costs were 1.3 + .70 + .8 + .085 = 2.9gp rounded up on the high end, 1 + .6 + .8 + .085 = 2.5gp on the low end.
The Large Glowing Shard sells on Deathwing for 4gp a pop. Or as an enchanter, you can enchant +3 1h striking for 5 using this.
For those individuals who like to do this on a self-sufficient basis, the Frost Oil formula is sold by a goblin on the north wall of where the Alterac Crushridge Elite ogres are. Also, if you don't have a herbalist, Khadgar's Whisker and Wintersbite are moderately affordable on Deathwing, dropping the production cost of frost oil down to about 70 sp. If you have a alchemist or an alchemist buddy, that's another 30-60sp of end item profit. Frost oil requires a 200 skill in alchemy.
Thick spider silk can be easily farmed by those 38+ in dustwallow marsh, in the Darkmist cave. They also drop decent vendor loot (3-5sp each) as well as Shadow Silk, which can be used in tailoring to produce 38+ Shadow Priest gear that sells moderately well.
In 15 mins saturday, I bought, tailored, disenchanted, and put 8 shards up on auction. Remember, shards have no value, hence the AH does not charge you a fee for putting them up for auction. I logged in the next day, all had been bought out at 4gp.
This is a simple method to constantly auction with no loss. It's a proven formula, at least in terms of large servers where enchanting is in moderate to high demand (refer back to the post on disenchanting Green Lenses).
EASY FARMING FOR YOUR EPIC MOUNT:
For level 54 and above, when you begin farming for your 'epic mount' (ya know the super fast mount which costs a whopping 1000 gold) the initial idea of farming for this amount of money is overwhelming. I've found an area which is PERFECT for this task.........tons of money via drops and a high rate of 'major healing potion' drops which sell regularly in the AH for 1 gold a piece.
Here's the deal. Head to Felwood (province just east of Auberdine on Kalimdor).
Hunt the following mobs, which both have high drop rates (10-15% drop rate) for major healing potions. In addition these mobs are humanoids, so they also drop large stacks of high level herbs with each kill (heart of the wild, blindweed, arthas tears). Stacks of these herbs go for as high as 10 gold on the AH!
Again, here are the mobs.
Withered Protectors Warpwood Shredders
Both of these mobs can be found in the northern section of Felwood. The area has a large amount of them, can't be missed. Now go farm for that Epic mount!
1-60 IN 3 WEEKS:
This is the method the power levelers have used since closed beta and I finally got one of them to give it up. It is by no means the way to go if you want to maximize your experience in the game as this method will bypass almost all the content in the game and essentially ignore many of the fun, unique aspects of WoW. This is not recommended for new players and is meant for players who already have experienced the content and just want to level up an alt to play with their level 60 friends (ie. your level 60 instance group needs a priest and there are no priests to be had). As a benchmark to how successful you are with this, download cosmos (www.cosmosui.org) and use the clock feature to measure your xp/hour. At level 50 you should be getting about 40,000+/hour. 1-20: Newbie lands, stick to the friendly zones (not contested). Just grind. The quests are a waste of time up to level 20 if you are focusing on maxing out xp per hour.
20-26: Wetlands quests and raptors/slime/orcs for grinding. Redridge mountain Lakeshire quests.
26-30: Duskwood quests and undead for grinding. Hillsbrad critter roamers for grinding.
30-35: Did these all in a day on Daggerspines in Hillsbrad right next to Southshore along the coast. Huge spawn, very fast respawn rate, easy mobs to kill. Purgation isle (island in the very far Southwest water area of Hillsbrad) also a nice secluded place you can grind on undead.
36-40: Hillsbrad southshore quests. Desolace quests and kodo grinding for 36-38, then Undead Ravagers in the southeast for 38-40. Cresting exiles at the circle of outer binding in Arathi also for 37-41; extremely easy mobs with a fast respawn. Alterac ogres from 35-40 for grinding. Drywhisker kobolds in Arathi east of Hammerfall for 36-39 for grinding.
41-45: Hinterlands trolls, owl beasts, and wolves for grinding and quests. Badlands ogres, gnolls, and quests.
45-48: Tanaris quests and pirates on the eastern paninsula for grinding. Stranglethorn vale quests (only if you need rewards imo). Badlands greater elementals for grinding.
48-52: Felwood deadwood gnolls for grinding and quests from the sanctuary in the south. Blasted lands dreadmauls for grinding. Un'goro crater (best started at 50) for primarily quests and grinding off the plants and tar elementals. Azshara undead highbornes and thunderhead hyppogriffs for grinding.
52-55: Azshara blood elves for grinding. Burning steppes dreadmaul rock ogre caves firegut ogres (very low AC) for grinding. Felwood irontree woods and cave for grinding (great spot). Western plaguelands questing for argent dawn and grinding on undead throughout the various camps.
55-58: Eastern plaguelands quests from the sanctuary, grinding on undead at the ruined towns. Winterspring grinding at winterfall village or Lake Kel'Theril undead highbornes (my personal favorite camp). Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steppes for grinding.
58-60: 'The' yeti cave in Winterspring, due Southeast of Everlook (very nice place). Grosh Gok compound ogres in Deadwind pass (great spot, no one knows about it). Eastern plaguelands Fungal Vale undead grinding and argent dawn token farming. Moonowls in northeast winterspring for grinding.
AMAZING 1-60 MAGE GUIDE:
This is a comprehensive guide to leveling to 60 for a Mage using Mobius, started by Heretic on these boards a while ago. I'm writing this because there is some trial and error involved and hopefully this will solve some of the frustrations that I personally had to deal with. With this you can level from 1-60 in about 28 hours - no BS, I've done it twice personally and others have used my guide with the same results. Here are my recommendations to expedite the process and to level in as safe of a manner as possible. Here is what is recommended.
1) A fresh account 2) A 2nd account to group with (or a buddy who is on when you are and who you trust implicitly) 3) Mobius (or derivative program) 4) Common sense
I recommend a fresh account since no matter what precautions you take, you will probably be banned eventually. Anyone who used Mobius could wake up tomorrow and be permanently banned or could very well be banned a year from now. While this is certainly a risk, it is best to minimize it by using a blank account. Another reason for this is so that you have a 'safe' account (your real account) to group with and to store your hard earned loot with if you choose to do boss runs in the higher levels.
The 2nd account is to group with is to reset instances for uninterrupted running - a 10 day free pass account is fine for this or your 'real' account. Just be sure the name, credit card, email and other info is different for each account lest they all be punished for your crimes. If you have a friend who you trust implicitly, that works too.
Resetting Instances
Restting instances is easy. Here is what I do and it works flawlessly. Group with your other account while in the instance. Do your run. Exit the instance. Leave the group, remake the group. That’s it. You will need a half-way decent computer to run two copies of WoW, but it is by far the safest way to do what you need to do. You can use a friend to do it also, but you will probably annoy the out of them since some runs take only 10 minutes.
Mobius
You need to be familiar with Mobius. Simple things you need to know how to do; how to edit the save file, know when to 'set' your position (by turning), fine tuning your position and so forth. If you are playing around with it and learning just be sure to make a safe point (near the entrance of an instance) and if you get in trouble or let lost, go back to this post. I suggest only using it in instances. Anything else is just risk since someone can flag your account if they see you. I can understand hacking to replace 500 hours of work, but for a 10 minute flight? Not really worth it unless you are using a 10-day pass account and really don’t care. Also know that when you teleport, you are not actually there until you move (turn). Usually you will not see mobs and they will not see you until you do so.
Avoiding the Ban
If you have something significant to loose, don’t hack. Its really as simple as that. Chances are you will be banned eventually. If you do hack, my advice - tell no one what you are doing, hack until your 60 as fast as possible, and then quit. No one should even know your character name and you sure should not be in a guild. Only use Mobius in instances. Another thing I like to do is let my character idle when I'm not playing - this racks up hours so the leveling looks more plausible. Level 60 in 28 hours is impossible in normal play. Level 60 in 120 hours is slightly possible by normal play and it can make a difference if they look carefully.
Other things may or may not work in tricking their detection system. I renamed Mobius. Using a hearth stone or teleport spell right before you use Mobius may trick their detection system (be sure to cancel the spell when after you teleport obviously). Only moving in the Z axis may be less detectable, but less useful to you. Only moving short distances and not crossing zones may also be useful too. Of course this is all speculative and may not help at all – so take it with a grain of salt.
Methodology
The point of this is to level as fast as possible and the best way to do this is to get a huge train of Elite mobs and kill them from afar. The Heretic guide is a step in the right direction but it can definately be improved. Namely in the trains you pull for maximum gain and specific coords.
When you do instance runs, just do the mass quantities of mobs and don't bother with bosses. There are times I stayed around to do a boss where I could have done two or more runs and gotten 100k+ or more xp. Also don't bother looting, generally not worth it. Your here to get the xp, so just do that - the less time you are floating around the better.
The Build
You pretty much have to use a Mage to do this. The AOE spells are the best and you have better mana regeneration (Evocation) not to mention the extra range on their spells is needed for some bosses. Other classes are feasible, but honestly it would probably just be easier to level them normally instead of risking getting banned doing tedious work.
The mage build is pretty straight forward. You will go heavy arcane to get Evocation, Arcane Mediation, Arcane Mind and Arcane Concentration. Afterwards (around level 40) go Frost for the extra 15% reduced cost for frost spells since your main kill should be Blizzard. Really the only spells you need are Blizzard and Evocation. I also use the mana gems occasionally, arcane intellect and fireball/blast to pull. You don't need anything else. Gear is optional, but Int gear for the mana is useful. Post 60 you should respect for Fire. Flamestrike has better range than Blizzard and is more useful post-60. Also you get the better damage.
XP Diminishing Returns
In long fights you may notice the XP gains are far less than what they should be. This is because the XP is based on damage done and that resets if you do not keep continious damage on a critter - namely not touching a critter for more than 1-2 mins is a bad idea. How to solve this? Pretty easy - keep casting as your mana regens, do not wait for your mana to regen to full before dumping on them. Secondly us to use Blizzard. Monsters do not resist blizzard (damage is just lowered), and so the timer does not reset. Easy.
Level 1-18
Level this yourself. This is a cake walk anyhow and spending it with Mobius is needless risk for something that can be done quickly.
Level 18 - 27 : Shadowfang Keep
(I suggest you adjust the coordinates slightly. Teleporting to these exact coords may be a bad idea if a lot of people use them. )
This instance has several stops. Simply pull all of the areas and kill them in the last area. Don’t bother with the Tower, the curse effects slow you down and generally you will get better xp repeating this first train.
<location> <name>SF Outside Instance</name> <x>1565.522</x> <y>-234.2945</y> <z>76.8921</z> </location> <location> <name>SF Inside Instance</name> <x>2111.41</x> <y>-228.191</y> <z>76.8904</z> </location> <location> <name>SF Courtyard 1 pull</name> <x>2174</x> <y>-227</y> <z>87</z> </location> <location> <name>SF Courtyard 2 pull</name> <x>2219</x> <y>-205</y> <z>87</z> </location> <location> <name>SF Ghost 1 pull</name> <x>2285</x> <y>-240</y> <z>87</z> </location> <location> <name>SF Ghost 2 kill</name> <x>2255</x> <y>-239</y> <z>112</z> </location>
Level 27 - 36 : Gnomeregan
http://www.gamebugs.org/wow-pics/pic1.PNG Nets are fine. thrown Wreches are not so good.
This is trickier since you have to deal with the range weapons but luckily the runs are profitable. Pull in the first five areas then sit at the 5th for 2-3 minutes. Below you will see the train; you will need to move around to pick up the roamers (all of them usually). You can use the slider to fine adjust if you need too and save the cords that are most useful to you. Move to area G6 and wait a minute, then move to ‘Top’. If you don’t hit G6 first they will not be in one spot and you will die. When all of the critters are at ‘Top’, move to ‘Bottom’ which is 6 yards above them - the only safe spot to hit them at. AOE them from here.
If they are still getting in range shots or some are floating to you, move back to G6, wait a few mins and them move back to g6, wait a minute and then to Top again. This is the best pull area from what I've seen. Unfortunately you can't train the Dark Irons or tougher mechs because they have weird special attacks that hit from anywhere. It will take some practice to do this area quickly.

Level 37 - 43 : Scarlet Monetary
This is probably the simplest run since its only one stop. You can hit any instance at SM to get to the commander (I think), but I like the one with that requires the scarlet key to the left. By the way you can loot the chest that has the scarlet key inside a wall, so it is easy to get.
Anyhow, simply port in, let them target you and AOE away. The commander will stun you occasionally, so time your Evocation well lest you waste time. Don’t bother killing the commander, he will take forever. <location> <name>SM dude start</name> <x>1319.18</x> <y>853.179</y> <z>18.6714</z> </location> <location> <name>Commander</name> <x>1408</x> <y>1161</y> <z>41</z> </location>
Level 43 - 56 : Maraudon
http://www.gamebugs.org/wow-pics/pic3.PNG Gravy Train Cometh
I love Maraudon because you get such a huge train and massive XP. I was leveling faster in the 50s than I was in the 20s, which is pretty damn impressive. It is also pretty easy. Pull spot 1, the plants. Pull spot 2, the slimes. Go to bottom and pull what is around you (no Dryads!) then go to top and wait for the gravy train to come - usually something crazy like 60,000 XP per 10 minute run.
<location> <name>Start Orange</name> <x>-458.52</x> <y>1019.854</y> <z>-43.42859</z> </location> <location> <name>Pull 1</name> <x>-280</x> <y>1076</y> <z>-66</z> </location> <location> <name>Pull 2</name> <x>-107</x> <y>637</y> <z>-50</z> </location> <location> <name>Pull 3</name> <x>-175</x> <y>934</y> <z>-57</z> </location> <location> <name>Top</name> <x>-152</x> <y>838</y> <z>-58</z> </location> <location> <name>Bottom</name> <x>-152</x> <y>838</y> <z>-83</z> </location> Level 57 - 60 : Blackrock Spiral
I had some trouble finding a good spot to get to 60, it really came down to three areas. The Library in BRD, but that way hella laggy with 500 mobs chasing you. Undead in Scholomance, but you need a key and I did not want to tele in everytime I did it. And lastly, the infamous spiders in LBRS. I like the spiders since its about the same pace for xp, no lag, and you can stick around for the boss loot if you choose.
Pretty simple here, pull from the three spots and kill in ‘Spot 1’. It is slow going to 60 since the train is not huge. By slow I mean it will take 45 minutes to level instead of 15 minutes – poor us. After 60 I really recommend that you quit hacking, lol. But I know some of us can’t because we ****ing need it. Here are some activities that I’ve found you can do pretty easily.
Mine Dark Iron at no risk. LBRS/UBRS Boss runs, General Drakkisath, etc. Strath/Scholo runs, not quite as easy but doable. I can’t kill Baron Rivendare solo however. Molten Core Runs, even the low level mobs drop epics occasionally. Note that Golemagg is the only boss I’ve managed to kill and that took an ungodly amount of time.[/list:u:5281bfe1f9]
Of course these are all risky and it is really only a matter of when you will be banned and not ‘if’. If you do it, I recommend going ape- for a week and then quit. You can easily get most of the good drops in a week. I spent one afternoon and did General Drakkisath 6 times easily
ALTERNATIVE 1-60 LEVELING GUIDE:
Level 1-12: - Newbie Zone :: You may have to leave at level 11.
Level 12-20: - Westfall [Sentinel Hill, Westfall Lighthouse] - Loch Modan [Thelsamar, Farstrider's Lodge, Stonewrought Dam] - Darkshore [Auberdine] - Elite Area: Mo'grosh mound (Loch Modan) - Instance: Deadmines
Complete the easiest quests in the first area that you go to (Night Elves should visit Darkshore first, Dwarves/Gnomes should visit Loch Modan first, Humans should visit Westfall first.) Move onto the next zone, and do the same, but this time you can complete more of the zone. Leave the most difficult, unless you can get a group for them - don't waste too much time on it, though. Move onto the last zone and complete all, or nearly all of the quests available in that zone. By this time, you should be about level 17-18. Go back to the first zone, and complete the rest of the quests there.
Typically, my 'first zone' is Westfall, in which case you can go back when you are done with both Loch Modan and Darkshore, and finish the Van Cleef line of quests and be at a good level to run the instance.
Level 20-22: - Redridge Mountains [Lakeshire, Tower of Azora in Elwynn]
Again, do the easy quests in Redridge, which should take you up to level 21 or 22. Skip the more difficult quests unless you have a group for them. I'd skip the entire Stonewatch Keep area of quests just simply because that entire area itself is crap.
Level 22-30: - Redridge Mountains [Lakeshire, Tower of Azora in Elwynn] - Duskwood [Darkshire, Sven's Camp, Abercrombie] - Wetlands [Menethil Harbor, Greenwarden, N. Loch Modan (The Algaz Gauntlet)] - Ashenvale [Astranaar ?] - Stonetalon Mountains - Elite Area: Dun Modr (Wetlands) - Instance: The Stockades - Instance: Shadowfang Keep - Instance: Blackfathom Deeps - Happy Loot: Naraxis' Fang (Duskwood) - Happy Loot: Tiny Crimson Whelpling (Wetlands) - Grind Area [26]: Dragonmaw Encampment (Wetlands) - Grind Area [26]: Whelgar's Excavation Site (Wetlands) - Grind Area [28]: Rotting Orchard (Duskwood) - Grind Area [28]: Raven Hill Cemetary (Duskwood) - Grind Area [29]: Vul'Gol Ogre Mound (Duskwood)
Preparation: Purchase Bronze Tube.
Start at either Duskwood or Wetlands. This is where 'quest stacking' can come in really handy if you want to be efficient. There are many, many quests that send you to the same areas, and if you get all of the quests at once, you can knock all of them out without having to run back and forth. Considering Wetlands and Duskwood are fairly bad for having their towns on one side of the map and the quest mobs/areas on the other side, this saves a lot of time. A lot of these are parts of quest chains, so honestly it's hard to know if you don't have prior knowledge or do a lot of quest research beforehand - so don't worry about it too much, but try to be as efficient as you can. Once you finish one of the two new areas, you should be about level 25 and can go finish the harder parts of Redridge, and then finish the last zone.
Note for Stockades : There are 6 quests you can obtain for this instance. Lakeshire, Darkshire, Wetlands, Van Cleef note continuation (Bazil Thredd), and two from Stormwind.
Level 31-37: - Stranglethorn Vale [Rebel Camp, Nesingwary's Expedition, Booty Bay] - Hillsbrad Foothills [Southshore] - Arathi Highlands [Refuge Pointe] - Desolace [32] - Thousand Needles [31] - Instance: Gnomeregan - Happy Loot: Howling Blade (Skhowl, Alterac Mountains) - Happy Loot: Toxic Revenger (Gnomeregan) - Happy Loot: Tiny Emerald Whelpling (Swamp of Sorrows) - Grind Area [31]: Kurzen Encampment (Stranglethorn Vale) - Grind Area [33]: Stranglethorn Raptors (Stranglethorn Vale) - Grind Area [33]: Growless Cave (Alterac Mountains) - Grind Area [34]: Gallow's Corner (Crushridge Ogres - Altarac Mountains) - Grind Area [36]: Venture Co. Base Camp (Lake Nazferiti - Stranglethorn Vale)
Preparation: Purchase all 15 pages of The Green Hills of Stranglethorn, 4 Bloodstone Ore.
Start at Stranglethorn Vale. Quest stacking here is also godly, since you don't want to have to run all the way to the northern end of the zone, do one or two quests and turn them back in at Booty Bay. Rebel Camp's quests are largely independent of the rest, though, so you can do those first. Then, head to Booty Bay, where you can pick up two main quests for the northern area: Investigate the Camp and the start of the Excelsior chain, both of which takes you to Nesingwary's Expedition, where you obtain all of the nice happy quests there.
Hillsbrad is only good starting at about level 33, at which point you can actually *do* all of the quests that you could obtain at level 30... Arathi only has one or two quests that you can actually do right now, but it's listed anyways.
Kurzen Cave has been fixed, which perhaps means that Jungle Fighters and Headshrinkers have as well, so someone test that out please.
Level 37-43: - Stranglethorn Vale - Arathi Mountains [Refuge Pointe, Faldir's Cove] - Badlands [Various camps around the zone] - Desolace [37] - Elite Area: Stromgarde - Elite Area: Mosh'ogg Mound - Instance: Scarlet Monastery - Instance: Uldaman - Instance: Razorfen Downs - Happy Loot: Tiny Black Whelpling (Badlands) - Grind Area [37]: Lashtail Raptors (Stranglethorn Vale) - Grind Area [37]: Water Elementals (Stranglethorn Vale) - Grind Area [39]: The spider cave north of Brackenwall (Swamp of Sorrows) - Grind Area [39]: Rock Elementals (Badlands) - Grind Area [39]: Elder Crag Coyotes (Badlands) - Grind Area [41]: Scalding Whelps (Badlands) - Grind Area [41]: Agmond's End (Badlands) - Grind Area [41]: Ziata'jai Ruins (Venture Co. Stuff, Stranglethorn Vale) - Grind Area [43]: Naga Explorers (Stranglethorn Vale)
Preparation: Purchase 9 Blue Pearls, 1 Frost Oil, 1 Gyrochronatom, 4 Buzzard Wings, 1 Elixir of Water Breathing.
37 is where you obtain your next batch of quests from Stranglethorn Vale. Arathi Highlands has fairly decent quests in Faldir's Cove, or if you're feeling group-friendly, knock out the ones in Stromgarde. Badlands has a lot of nice quests, but you have to actually find them. This is where supplementing experience by grinding becomes more efficient at times, and at 42-43 you should be closing the last of your Stranglethorn quests, and be finished with Badlands and Arathi both, as well.
Scarlet Monastery. Black Menace or Sword of Serenity. Nothing more needs to be said - except where to obtain the quest: Desolace.
Level 43-46: - Feralas [Feathermoon Stronghold] - Tanaris [Gadgetzan, Steamwheedle Port] - Instance: Zul'Farrak - Grind Area [43]: Wastewander Bandits (Tanaris) - Grind Area [44]: Isle of Dread (Feralas - Inside Cave; South of Feathermoon Stronghold) - Grind Area [45]: Feral Scar Vale (Feralas) - Happy Loot: 14slot bag! Cortello's Riddle quest, starts in one of the ships in Stranglethorn Vale for the end of the Bloodsail Buccaneers line of quests.
Fairly self explanatory, I guess. Not much going on here, really.
Level 46-50: - Tanaris [Gadgetzan, Steamwheedle Port] - The Hinterlands [Aerie Peak] - Instance: Zul'Farrak - Instance: Maraudon [49] - Instance: Temple of Atal'Hakkar [50] - Grind Area [47]: Undead in Western Ashzara (Azshara) - Grind Area [47]: Dunemaul Compound (Tanaris) - Grind Area [47]: Elementals/Golems around The Cauldron + N of it (Searing Gorge) - Elemental Leatherworking Supplies
At this point, you more than likely have a bunch of quests saved up for The Hinterlands - including but not limited to, the quest to gather Wildkin Feathers (from Rutheran Village), the quest to obtain a snapshot of Gammerita, the quest to obtain Violet Trajan, the last part of Cortello's Riddle, etc. Feel free to knock them all out at once.
Level 50-55: - Searing Gorge [Kalaran Windblade] - Blasted Lands - Un'Goro Crater [Marshal's Refuge] - Felwood [Emerald Sanctuary] - Burning Steppes [Morgan's Vigil] - Instance: Temple of Atal'Hakkar - Grind Area [50]: Deadwood Village (Felwood) - Grind Area [51]: Ruins of Eldarath (Azshara) - Grind Area [52]: Dreadmaul Rock (Firegut Ogres - Burning Steppes) - Grind Area [52]: Legash Encampment, Thalassian Base Camp, Ursolan (Azshara) - Grind Area [52]: Jaedenar (Felwood) - Grind Area [52]: Sorrow Hill (Western Plaguelands) - Grind Area [53]: Ironwood Trees in northern Felwood - Grind Area [54]: Temple of Arkkoran (Azshara) - Grind Area [55]: Jadefire Run, Felpaw Village (Felwood)
The quests in Blasted Lands all stack on top of each other. Five in total, one for each stat; they give 4700 experience per turn-in, along with always the chance of obtaining a Draenethyst Sphere for Kumi'sha the Collector with every mob you kill. Un'Goro Crater has the biggest collection of quests out of all of these zones.
Level 55-60: - Winterspring [Everlook, Starfall Village] - Western Plaguelands [Chillwind Point] - Eastern Plaguelands - Instance: Blackrock Depths - Instance: Blackrock Spire [60] - Instance: Stratholme [60] - Instance: Scholomance [60] - Grind Area [55]: Felstone Field, Dalson's Tears, The Writhing Haunt, Gahrron's Withering (Western Plaguelands) - Grind Area [56]: Northridge Lumber Camp (Western Plaguelands) - Grind Area [56]: Corin's Crossing (Eastern Plaguelands) - Grind Area [56]: The Pillar of Ash (Burning Steppes) - Grind Area [56]: Winterfall Village (Winterspring) - Grind Area [57]: Blackrock Stronghold (Burning Steppes) [NOTE] - Grind Area [57]: Ice Thistle Hills (Wintespring) - Rugged Leathers
Notes: Blackrock Stronghold is probably the best place to grind for a rogue; however, you do have to get used to how the roamers work. You'll probably die a few times along the way while learning them. Also, this might likely be another area where they're increasing the armor on the mobs, but two of the four kinds of orcs that spawn are casters, anyway. Ice Thistle Hills is not the best place to grind for experience, but it's probably one of the better places to get a nice quiet grind going and also leave with a few backpacks full of Rugged Leather.
51 GOLD EVERY 3 HOURS:
Turtles around level 40 around Tanaris
The Good:
These turtles drop speckled shell fragments (worth 9S each) almost every time. If you have skinning, they also drop the Turtle Scales needed for the Wild Leather quests at an incredible frequency along with Thick and Rugged Leather. The turtles are also well spaced out so you will never be aggro'd by more than one. They also spawn back faster than the turtles around Theramore and there are plenty more of them in a closer proximity. Also, I have never once seen anybody else hunting these turtles in my few days of farming them (your mileage on the last point may vary)
The Bad:
Intermingling with the Turtles are some nasty Giants (Coast Striders and Deep Dwellers 48-50 Elite). Avoid the coast as the Coast Striders will grab you, and avoid going too deep or the Deep Dwellers will smack you around. However, if you're smart and stay off shore, you should not be bothered. In all my time there I only got aggro'd by a giant once.
The Reward:
I hunted last night for 3 hours and my haul included:
3 Green Items (I'm looking at about 10G on the AH) 110 Speckled Shell Fragments (Sold to the vendor for ~9G 90S) 140 Turtle Scales (At the AH on my server there are never any scales up for auction and I've routinely been getting 4G 50S per 20) ~100 Thick Leather 25 Rugged Leather.
So after sales I'm esitmating my haul for 3 hours work to be in the neighbourhood of 51G, a ton of leather and some great XP. Your mileage may vary depending on your skills and server, but at the very minimum without skinning you can be looking at a good 10G+Items
MINING GUIDE:
This is a guide for leveling in mining (and blacksmithing) in order to get to the point where you can make some serious gold in the game. Let me just start off by saying that there are many ways to make gold from the mining and/or blacksmithing profession and you can certainly use this as a starting point for developing other methods. However, this guide will focus on getting you to mining level 125 and blacksmithing level 75. This guide will assume that you keep up with the training from the respective trainer to obtain the abilities discussed below.
MINING BACKGROUND
Mining consist of finding metal veins, collecting ore, and then smelting that ore into bars. A miner gets the ability to smelt and/or mine various metals at various levels. You can smelt the following metals at the following levels:
Mining Level 1: Copper Mining Level 65: Tin Mining Level 65: Bronze (1 bronze bar = 1 copper bar + 1 tin bar) Mining Level 75: Silver Mining Level 125: Iron Mining Level 155: Gold Mining Level 165: Steel (1 steel bar = 1 iron bar + 1 coal) Mining Level 175: Mithril
All of the above metals will produce one bar of the metal for one piece of ore when smelted. You can frequently get 4-5 pieces of ore from a single vein. There are other metals (truesilver and thorium) that can make you a TON of money, but I haven’t reached those levels yet so I will wait until I can develop a strategy for them before updating this guide.
Along with the metal, you also get various stones and gems from the veins, shown below:
- Copper veins: Rough Stones, Malachite, Shadowgem, Tigerseye - Tin Veins: Coarse Stones, Jade, Lesser Moonstone, Moss Agate, Shadowgem - Silver Vein: Lesser Moonstone, Moss Agate, Shadowgem - Iron Veins: Heavy Stones, Aquamarine, Citrine, Jade, Lesser Moonstone - Gold Veins: Jade, Lesser Moonstone - Mithril Veins: Solid Stone
So, as you can see, you will be collecting a lot of 'stuff' from mining. The only thing directly useable by you is the ore as a miner. Everything else is used by blacksmiths and some other professions in some cases. Therefore, I chose to also become a blacksmith. As you will see, there is definitely money making synergy, even if you don’t you’re your blacksmithing products to other players.
MINING STRATEGY
First, as you will see above, you will only be able to mine and smelt copper until level 65. Luckily, you will get mining xp from both mining AND smelting for most, if not all, of this time. Therefore, clear out as much space as you can in your inventory and go to a lower level area. Just hunt around the foot hills for copper veins and collect ore, stones and gems until your inventory is full. I would go to the easiest area you can find so you don’t have to worry about mobs that much. For instance, see here for a map of copper veins in Elwynn Forest, near Stormwind. http://www.thottbot.com/?m=1108
Everything stacks so you will have a lot of material when you are full. In my inventory, I typically have 40 open slots (with my backpack full of other stuff and four 10 slot bags open. Theoretically you can fill each slot of the 40 with ore, stones and gems. If you do this, when you are done, you will probably have something like 3 slots of gems, 17 slots of ore and 20 slots of rough stone. It all depends on the drop rate of stone, but this is probably about right as the stone drops 2-3 sometimes and the ore typically drops one at a time. Your mileage may vary. You should note that, when smelting you will need at least one slot open for the bars to go into – as you use up the ore, it will open up another slot.
Once you are done, go to your local forge and just smelt away to make copper bars. At this point, without blacksmithing, just sell the bars, stone, gems either at auction or at vendor and rinse and repeat. The bars only sell for 10 copper and the stone only sells for 2 copper each.
BETTER STRATEGY: SYNERGY WITH BLACKSMITHING
Here’s where you can begin to see the synergy that blacksmithing can add. First, unless you really need the money from selling the gems, I would suggest banking them – they sell for good money to a vendor, typically, but you will definitely need them for armor and weapons later. Ore and stones are easy to get, gems are not since the drop rate is somewhat low. I would also save a good amount of the rough stone since blacksmiths will be able to make rough grinding stones at level 25, which are necessary for some blacksmithing plans. However, this is up to you. At level 25, making rough grinding stones is an excellent way to level.
And here is a key point: as a blacksmith, you should only make things that don’t use a lot of resources and, at the same time, are the highest difficulty available (orange, yellow, green is the order of difficulty). If you run out of orange, yellow is OK, but you won’t level as quickly. Green is very inefficient. Eventually things will 'grey' out and won’t give you xp. Note that you will always get one level for each thing you make that is orange in difficulty, regardless how many resources it requires. Therefore, for leveling it don’t use gems to make something when you could get the same level by just using copper.
Therefore, I suggest you use the copper bars as a blacksmith to make copper chain pants ( see http://www.thottbot.com/?i=272 ). You can make copper chain pants from level 1 and they only require 4 copper bars. So, now for the synergy: copper chain pants sell to vendors for 67 copper – so with a little more effort, you can make 67 copper instead of 40 copper from just selling the four bars (a 68% profit difference). Keep making these pants out of copper bars until you reach level 25. I don’t remember how many pants it takes to get to level 25, but assuming it is about 35 or so, that would be about 140 iron ore, or 7 stacks.
You will get other recipes but all of them require additional resources. The only thing I would consider is making copper boots at level 20. These require 8 copper bars and no other resources. However, you will lose profit by making them – 8 copper bars would sell for 80 copper to a vendor and the boots only sell for 49 copper. However, they will also give you more xp than the pants at level 20. This minimal loss is enough to get you to level 25, which is where you can make rough grinding stones. Rough grinding stones sell to a vendor for 5 copper, while the rough stones only sell for 2 copper (a 150% profit difference). They will also give you good xp for a while, so just make these until they turn yellow in difficulty.
Note that the above examples assume you will sell the items to a vendor. The pants and boots should definitely go to a vendor since it is not worth selling them at auction. However, the rough grinding stones are in demand because they are required as blacksmithing components. Therefore, you may find it desirable to sell them on auction depending on the market at your server. I don’t have the specifics, but they will almost certainly sell for a decent amount above the vendor. It all depends on how much time you want to take setting up the auctions. I simply sold some to a vendor and kept some for myself.
Now things become a little fuzzy because there are so many options. But here is what I would suggest you use to level:
- Blacksmithing Level 35: Copper Chain Belt – 6 copper bars - Blacksmithing Level 40: Runed Copper Gauntlets – 8 copper bars, 2 rough grinding stones - Blacksmithing Level 45: Runed Copper Pants – 8 copper bars, 2 fine thread (buy from tailor vendor), 2 rough grinding stones
Some of this might be inefficient in terms of gaining xp because the difficulty of the item drops eventually, but these are the lowest cost items in terms of resources. Feel free to vary on what you use to level, but try to keep your costs down as much as possible.
At mining level 65, you get the ability to mine tin, which also drops coarse stones. Once again save the gems and coarse stones. After this level of mining is reached, use the following to level in blacksmithing:
Blacksmithing Level 65: Coarse Sharpening Stone – 1 coarse stone Blacksmithing Level 75: Coarse Grinding Stone – 2 coarse stones
END GOAL OF THIS GUIDE: MINING LEVEL 125, BLACKSMITHING LEVEL 75:
At level 75 in blacksmithing, you get the ability to make Coarse Grinding Stones. As far as mining goes, continue to mine whatever will give you xp (tin, silver, gold, etc). At level 125 in mining, you get the ability to mine/smelt iron. This is where you can make some serious money. Eventually copper and tin will grey out, as will smelting entirely. However, you will still get xp from mining silver, gold and, the goal of this guide in mining: Iron., which you will obtain at level 125 in mining.
And here, finally is where the cash really starts rolling in. Iron bars on my server sell for a buyout of 2 gold per stack and there is not much supply for sale out there. Last night there was one auction with a buyout of 1 gold 75 silver, 4 auctions with a buy out of 2 gold and 1 auction with a buyout of 7 gold (what WAS he thinking lol). Thus, there were only 6 auctions for Iron Bars. Given that I had 8 stacks of 20 iron bars that I had accumulated, I could have made a killing. But I only sold one at 1 gold 75 silver (just for kicks) and it sold very quickly. Therefore, if you are interested in easy money, just mine iron, smelt the bars and sell them at auction. No cost to you at all, other than time!
If you were to just find iron veins and throw away everything but the ore (bad idea because other things are very valuable also), you could fill up each slot in your inventory with 20 ore/bars. Assuming you spent enough time to fill up 40 slots in inventory, at 2 gold per stack this could theoretically net you 80 gold. That’s a lot of mining, but it’s easy money if you can put up with the grind.
Coarse grinding stones can also be sold for a good profit. While I haven’t sold any yet, there are NONE at the auction house right now and I hear people in ironforge frequently requesting them. I have asked myself, just see what the response will be, but no one ever had any for sale. Therefore, this is an untapped market. I will put up an auction tonight for coarse grinding stones and let you know how it goes.
The same strategy above can be extrapolated to heavy stone, mithril (which sells for 5 gold a stack) and other materials. But I have found that iron (iron ore) and tin (coarse stones) are the most plentiful veins in the game after copper. Therefore, I think this is sweet spot for money making.
EASY ALCHEMIST GOLD:
For all you alchemist/herbalists out there, there is a level 37 quest in The Badlands where you are required to bring a vial of Frost Oil to the individual to complete the quest. This quest is for ALL classes/professions etc. So if you're an herbalist level 195 or higher, and alchemy 220 or higher here's a way to make some great cash.
Frost Oil requires the following ingredients: 4 Khadgar's Whisker 2 Wintersbite
Khadgar's Whisker is available widely in Stranglethorn Vale (home of Booty Bay), it is the densest area by far for picking this specific herb. Review the following thottbot map for a general idea of locations of the herb. Mobs in northern Stranglethorn Vale are level 30-35 or so, so level 30 or better is recommended to farm this herb. However, you can spot the herb from the relative safety of the road, so lower.....braver levels can farm this area successfully as well.
Khadgar's Whisker in Stranglevale http://www.thottbot.com/?m=8855
Wintersbite is found only in the Alterac Mountains on the Eastern Continent. Refer to the following thottbot map for the general locations of where Wintersbite grows.
Wintersbite in Alterac Mountains http://www.thottbot.com/?m=19247
So after farming these herbs for a few hours, you can sell each INDIVIDUAL potion for 1.5 gold-2 gold at the AH! The quest in the Badlands which requires the Frost Oil gives some great XP, and non herbalist/alchemists HAVE to purchase the potion on the open market..........so take advantage!
ULTIME WARRIOR GUIDE:
First things first: Race/Class Specifics
* Make sure you read what racial bonuses your race gets. Make sure you understand what these bonuses DO! http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/ * Make sure your a tank at heart, the warrior in World of Warcraft in unlike any other warrior class in any other MMORPG. They made the warrior in World of Warcraft a meatshield, make sure you understand this. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warrior.html You will be able to take alot more punishment then ANY other class, BUT you will never deal as much as most other classes.
Next, choose a Talent Spec that catches your eye. Below I have put talent specs that I have personally tested and find best for each type of warrior.
Offensive Tank: This build I found best for dmg output aswell as tanking ability. (This is a personal favorite, this is a mix up of the most commonly used MS build, except instead of going down the fury line I put those points into 3 of the offensive protection talents giving you an extra 10 defense, 10% armor increase, and 15% increased hate vs a mob in defensive stance. utilizes 2 handed weapons.)
Arms Talents (31 points)
# Deflection - 5/5 points Increases your Parry chance by 5%.

# Defiance - 5/5 points Increases the threat generated by your attacks by 15% while in Defensive Stance.
Offensive Fury: This build is used by those who want maximum damage, I personally do not like it because the lack of ability to hold mobs in PvE. As it stands now, there is a 10 second cooldown on taunt, and with all of the other damage dealers in your group it is EXTREMELY hard to hold agro with this build... However if you wish to solo this is a great template. (Also great for PvP, generates ALOT of rage) Best for either 2 handed or Dual wield.
Arms Talents (15 points)
# Deflection - 4/5 points Increases your Parry chance by 4%.
# Improved Rend - 3/3 points Increases the bleed damage done by your Rend ability by 35%.

Protection Talents (0 points)
# None
Defensive Meatshield: This build is as good as it gets when coming to holding agro and taking a beating..If you want to hold agro the best and be the best tank for any PvE situation, this is it. (some people will disagree with me on this, but this build is not as viable for pvp situations as the other 2) utilizes Shield/Sword
Arms Talents (3 points)
# Improved Rend - 3/3 points Increases the bleed damage done by your Rend ability by 35%.
Fury Talents (5 points)
# Cruelty - 5/5 points Increases your chance to get a critical strike with melee weapons by 5%.

Those 3 templates are in my personal opinion the best, and yes I have personally tested..all..3. (gets expensive =/)
Now, its time for...PvP Tactics
I am a big PvPer, to me a MMO is nothing with out some good ol fasion competition. Below I put my personal tactics for defeating the enemy in the field.
As a warrior, rage is everything..withou itt your screwed. Now that we all understand that lets get down to buisness.. Also, try to pick up the first aid skill, most warriors will agree with me when I say that this is a great skill to have in pvp.
* Make sure you Pummel/Shield bash any caster types..this is the only defense we have against those cheap fookers! * Overpower is your friend, fighting another melee player will almost guarentee you will have this opportunity at least once..if they dodge you swtich to offensive and you overpower. If you have the Improved overpower talent, chances are you will hit the player with a critical shot and coming from a warrior, they hurt. * One thing I have noticed is not many warriors realize they can shield bash through the pally bubble..YOU CAN! if he bubbles and trys to heal himself you can bash him through the bubble to keep him from healing himself then its just a matter of a few second before the bubble is down and you can commense the woop arse.
Most important thing to remember is, all of your skill do something important..well...except for Heroric strike, this skill sucks ;p so MAKE SURE you use them all! Most warriors Ive seen will just stand there swinging and using Heroric strike in pvp..this is VERY bad.
