ROGUE GUIDE:
Rogue
Here is a somewhat detailed guide of starting and playing a rogue. You will learn very quickly that rogues are a very fun and powerful class.
First off you need to select a race, if you are alliance I recommend Dwarfs are you will be killing fast and Dwarfs get increased chance to find magic items. This is nice because you can go into sneak mode and walk around pick pocketing every creature around and this opens a separate loot table. This means you get to steal from the creature, kill it, and then get more loot, very nice!
The Night Elf and Gnome are also nice for the rogue seeing as the Night Elf gets a +1 evade to being with and Gnomes get higher agility which give more evades and armor. In any case, which ever side you go with, make sure to read the racial benefits of each race before deciding, you may find one more appealing.
Now that you have created your character and look all sexy and what not it’s time to look around the new world you are in and get familiar. On the top left you will see your picture and a green and yellow bar next to them, health and energy respectively. On the top right is you map, this is a nifty tool allowing you to see which direction the nearest towns are and which direction you are headed.
The grey arrows, you may not see them yet but you will as you travel, are pointing to the nearest towns, just place your mouse over the arrow and left click to see the town’s name. If you die an orange arrow will appear on the map pointing to your corpse. Fellow team mates are a light yellow color and always point in the direction of them. If they are close they are yellow ringed circles.
Now, to the bottom left you will see a bar with four icons on it, one is your normal attack, the second is Sinister Strike, the third eviscerate, and the four is throw, which you should just ignore. These icons are linked to your number keys 1-0 and – and+ as well for a total of twelve hotkeys, just push the corresponding key to use the skill.
To your right you will see some more icons, take your time and poke through them, one is your character information and one your world map and yet another, the golden cup, your quests, a little more about them later.
Done poking around? Cool, to your further right you will see an icon on the far bottom right, which is your backpack, right click to open it. In here you will see some heal items and a stone called a hearthstone. Now the hearthstone is super nifty, just talk to your local Inn keeper and tell him you want to rest. Doing this makes it so that when you right-click the stone you are teleported straight to the last Inn you rested at. This is really nice when you want to return from a quest quickly or just want to skip on the long run from the middle of no where. You can only use it once per hour though so use wisely. There are also four other slots next to the backpack for further bags that you can find or buy later on.
Now, it’s time to start killing some stuff, well, not just yet. I’m going to have to put on my teaching face, which sucks, but get ready to learn all about rogue’s damage style, soak this up, it’s what will make you a better rogue then the rest.
Rogues are all about Damage Per Second, also called DPS for short. In addition to normal weapon strikes you get several special attacks and abilities to enhance your damage. The special attacks and abilities fall into three basic categories, combo moves, finishing moves, and neither.
Some attacks can be used only in stealth, some only while behind the target, or anytime. Combo moves such as sinister strike, gouge, and backstab add 1 combo point to a rogue, up to a maximum of 5. If a rogue has 1-5 combo points they can then use a finishing move such as eviscerate or kidney shot or slice and dice. The effectiveness of the finishing move will depend on the number of combo points the rogue has at that point, you can tell how many you have by looking at the monsters picture and looking at how many of the bubbles next to it are red.
Once a finishing move is executed the rogue goes back to 0 combo points. Switching targets will also cancel all combo points. Some attacks which fall into the 'neither' category include Kick (interrupts spells) and Sap and they do not add any combo points. A rogue has 100 energy and each of these special abilities uses up a certain amount of energy, which replenishes at a constant rate.
Typically, a rogue will use a combo special attack from stealth to begin combat, then use other combo attacks to build up points and finish the mob with a finishing move. An example of a sequence would be: Ambush, Sinister Strike, and Eviscerate. The first two attacks are combo attacks and the last is a finishing move. Combo attack damage is heavily dependent on the rogue's main hand weapon so keeping weapons up to date is essential. Most rogues use talents, which you will hear more about soon, from either the combat or assassination trees to enhance their special attacks.
Rogues have enough DPS to solo pretty effectively, simply killing the mob fast enough to minimize damage to the rogue. Instead of heavy armor rogue's have reasonably high evades and a short term special ability to boost evades even further in emergencies. Stealth is an important tool to get the first blow in on enemies and also to help travel in dangerous areas and complete quests by pick pocketing what you need for the quest.
Now, that may have been a little overwhelming but needed to be done, go kill something to relax a bit, but before you do, a little something to get you started. Look around at the people near you, you should see a guy around you with an exclamation point above his head, talk to him, he has a quest for you.
Anyone you see with exclamation points above their heads has quests for you. After you complete the quest an orange question mark will appear over the NPC’s head showing that they are ready to give you a reward. Now, get your first quest and head out to start killing.
After you complete a quest or two you should been two or three and get a quest to see your trainer, lets go seem him. If you don’t have the quest look around for someone offering a quest, it should be there. After you have reached your trainer take a look at your skills, pretty straight forward. Here is some of what you should see.
Backstab- This is an awesome skill since it does 150% of your weapon damage plus and extra 15 points every time and it gains you one combo point which is nice. I recommend you level this skill are you level.
Pick Pocket- Need I say more? No, but I will. This skill allows you to steal from monsters before you enter combat with them. The loot you get from stealing from them is totally different from what you get after you kill the monster so pick pocket when you can.
Stealth- This allows you to sneak around undetected by monsters and lets you use later skills like Ambush but is also needed for Pick Pocket so you will definitely want this.
Gouge- This skill confuses the monster and stops your attack. What it basically does is gives you time to get behind the monster and Backstab it.
Evasion- This skill is going to become your best friend! It increases your chance to dodge by 50% for 15 seconds!
Duel Wield- As it says, you can wield two weapons at once, a great skill for the rogue.
Slice and Dice- This is better for longer battles as you will want to charge it to full to get the real benefits. This skill increases your attack speed for a short time, longer the more you charge it up. It could be effective at lower levels if you charge it once or twice.
Kick- This skill is great to use against any spell casting class. It causes damage and stops them from casting and also makes it so they cannot cast a spell from that spell class for five seconds.
Last but not least we have talents. These are something you gain access at level ten and the button will appear near you world quest box. Open it up and take a look around when you can you will see that these basically just increase your skills effectiveness. Most rogues use talents from either the combat or assassination trees to enhance their special attacks.
Now, the basics have been laid out. What you do from here is very simple. Just head out and do your quests, you will have no trouble laying out the monsters and gaining money through pick pocketing. As you move out farther you may want to look around more thoroughly in the hills and back alleys of cities for quests as some are hidden in strange places.
I wish you best luck in your travels and adventures and make sure to visit Iron Forge and check out the Auction House to gain yourself some nice gear.
5 GOLD EVERY HOUR:
You should be level 20 or above to do this by yourself.
You want to go to north Darkshore (not Darkshire), in the Ruins of Mathyra. Follow the road towards to the Ruins, when you see the entrance, make a right turn hugging the boundaries of the tower. Pass by the Myrms and keep on going to the southeast until you are on the outskirts of the Ruins of Mathrya zone, where no monsters spawn.
To the north of this location, you'll see a few lingering Myrm well spread apart. Go towards them. You are looking for Cat Figurines in this area. These Cat Figurines are worth 1s each, and spawn just as you pick one up. In this area just outside the tower there are 4 Cat Figurine respawn locations. If you search around the area between the tower and the Mine-Dungeon entrance (be sure you search in the areas where they are lined up perfectly ) you'll find the Cat Figurines.
There is one spawn location by a crooked pillar next to the Mini-Dungeon entrance. The next is due west of that location laying behind a pillar laying on the ground. Just south of that point is a curved, semi-circle ruin (that should help as a land mark). Not too far west of that location is another spawn point for the Figurine at the corner of a broken wall. Just west of that is another spawn point, well hidden between a pillar laying on the ground and a broken wall. All of the spawn points are in visual range of one another, so you know they aren't far apart.
Kill the Mryms, they drop about 50c a pop, and clear the way for you to pick up as many Cat Figurines as you want. Now for the last and best part of this exploit:
Picking up a Cat Figurine sometimes spawns a level 19 or level 20 Ghost Saber. These cats often don't drop anything, but they do occasionally drop awesome weapons and armor. In addition, they also drop Glowing Cat Figurines, which summon up a Ghost Saber pet for you for 30 Minutes. If you kill another Ghost Saber cat within that time, and it happens to drop another Glowing Figurine, you can use it also...the pets stack! Instead of one pet helping you, you'll have two. Continue as you like, sometimes you'll have up to 4 Ghost Sabers fighting for you, clearing out Myrms like nothing. Meanwhile, you'll score hundreds of Cat Figurines (which stack into piles of 20) to later sell for as much gold as you like.
AMAZING LEVEL WHILE YOU SLEEP BOT: Here are the main functions the bot performs: 1) Makes sure you're all healed up (or mostly healed) 2) Runs around in a circle tabbing for monsties 3) Once it finds one, he stops and throws a knife then waits a few secs for the monstie to run to him 4) Uses SS/Evis. to kick the mob's until it is dead 5) Equips new throwing knives when you run out (so you can do more than 200 runs at a time)
So here's the code: Code:

HEALER GROUP MACRO (ACTool) :
macro works wonders for healers, and are grouped with a single partner.
This also works wonders for people with 2 accounts/2 computers who want to have a permanent automatic heal bot!
This macro was made using ACTool, you can download ACTool at the following URL if you don't have it: http://www.actool.net/
Here's what ya need to do: 1. Run WoW at 1024x768 in WINDOW MODE. Do not change any default settings, as this macro relies on default window settings in WoW. If you aren't running the default WoW interface, this most likely WILL NOT work. 2. You must be running the default 'blue' Windows XP theme! This is crucial due to pixel color checks. Being one pixel off can ruin your macro! 3. BE IN A 2 PERSON PARTY WITH THE PERSON YOU WISH TO HEAL!!!!! IF YOU AREN'T PARTIED IT WON'T WORK! 4. Create an 'in game' WoW macro with the following lines. /target name of character you wish to heal /follow
/target mainchar /follow
After you've created this macro, put it in your hotbar slot 4. You'll also need to have your preferred heal spell in slot 3 for this macro.
After you've got this portion setup, open up ACTool and paste in the macro below. The healer running this macro will automatically follow and heal the person you 'followed' in your in game macro. Once that person gets around 40% health he will begin to heal the target. Each time you hit 40% health, he'll heal again. After you're above 40%, the healer will begin to follow you again!
Have fun!
